Monitored Drug List
Monitored drugs are defined in the regulations of Prescription Monitoring Program – NL as opioids listed in schedule 1 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (Canada) AND tramadol.
The following is a list of commonly used drugs that are captured by this definition.
Note: This is not an exhaustive list as new drugs, or newly-marketed brands of drugs, can become available at any time. If the medication being prescribed contains an opioid, it is subject to the requirements in the Prescription Monitoring Act.
